Most all
turbines that you can use with a grid tie system are
absolutely useless if the grid goes down, no grid,
no power at all period. This is caused by the PMA
(generator head) not being capable of charging
batteries.
At TLG we prefer to have a system that can do both.
Now you can have the best of both worlds with this
easy and very affordable wind turbine solution.
So what
happens if you have the TLG-500-B connected to a
grid tie inverter and the grid actually does go
down? You unhook the connections to the grid tie
inverter, and connect the leads to any available
batteries you may have. Its that simple.
